Getting Involved

Bronze CC is a family friendly cricket club and our ethos has always been around developing the junior cricketers into adult cricketers.

In the last few years the committee have invested in new nets for our members to make use of, bought an electronic scoreboard and had the clubhouse redone. In the coming seasons we plan to run more social events at the ground to integrate the junior players and their families with the adult players in the club and give the youngsters a chance to see what can be achieved at Bronze.

We are always looking for volunteers to help out, some of the the ways you can get involved at Bronze CC are by:

  • Volunteering
  • Attending Social Events
  • Managing a Junior Team
  • Coaching Juniors
  • Becoming a Sponsor
  • Becoming a Committee Member
  • Attending the AGM

Volunteering

There is always plenty that can be done to help making Bronze a better place for players and families. If you’d like to help with maintenance of the club then please let us know. You can volunteer to help with the ground and cricket pitches, making teas for adult games, painting, maintaining the club house and much more. If you’d like to volunteer then just let a member of the committee know what you feel you could do and we’d more than welcome it!

Attending Social Events

We will be running more social events throughout the year which will include quizzes, bingo, raffles, food and drinks. These events will be advertised on our WhatsApp groups, website and social media and we hope for them to place a key role in bringing different aspects of the club together. If you have any ideas about other types of events we can run or if you would like to volunteer to help run them then please contact anyone of the committee or email [email protected].

Managing a Junior Team

Each junior team we run has a Team Manager who attends match days and helps with organising teams and scoring. Coaches are also available on match days but we are looking for team managers to assist coaches in the day-to-day running of teams. If you are interested in learning more about what this would entail and how you can help, please email us.

Coaching Juniors

All coaches at Bronze CC are ECB qualified and we are always looking for new volunteers to help with coaching our junior section. The club are also happy to fund 50% of the coaching course costs and subsequent First Aid training renewals. To learn more about the ECB Coaching Pathways and becoming a Coach at Bronze, please email us.

Becoming a Sponsor

We have a sponsorship available at Bronze CC where your money will be used to improve our facilities and provide more equipment and opportunities for all our members to play and enjoy cricket. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor then please click here to view our available Sponsorship Packages.

Becoming a Committee Member

Bronze CC is run by a committee who are elected by our members at every AGM. Committee members are able to make a big impact on how the club is run and much more. However, you do not have to be a committee member to present your ideas for the club. If you’d like to be on the committee then all you need to do is attend the AGM and put yourself forward. However, if you want to make a suggestion or volunteer then we would more than welcome that so please contact any committee member if you’re interested.

Attending the AGM

The AGM is an annual meeting for our members to look back on the season and make decisions about the upcoming season including adult captains, committee members and general suggestions. The committee will always look at what members asked for during an AGM when making decisions about the club so attending is a great way to put your ideas across. Details of the AGM are sent to all members and it normally takes place at some point in November or December.
